Agency

Velourage is an international photography agency. We connect brands with the photographers, stylists and directors we represent, and with allied studios in New York, Paris, London and beyond. We do not own a studio — we put the right team together for each commission and stay on the job from the first call to the final file.

What we do

Representation. We represent photographers, stylists and directors on commission, so we earn when they do. Sourcing the brief, negotiating fee and usage, and holding the client relationship afterwards are all part of it. We negotiate for the artist, not against the brand — both sides see the same terms before anyone commits.

Production. Permits, crew, casting, locations and the day itself, arranged with the allied studio closest to the work. You brief one person and that person stays on the job from pre-production through to the delivered file. Wherever the campaign lands, it is shot by people who already work there.

Creative direction and styling. Where a brand needs the idea as well as the execution, we take the direction, the casting and the styling as part of the same commission rather than as a separate agency layer.

Archive licensing. Work we have already shot can be licensed again, on terms agreed with the artist rather than assumed. Licences are quoted per use and per territory, and the artist is credited and paid each time.

Events. Launches, exhibitions and private viewings built around the campaign. We arrange the printing, the framing and the room, so the work has a second life away from the feed.

Equity instead of invoice

On a small number of projects each year we take a position in the brand rather than a fee. It makes us selective about who we say yes to, and it keeps us in the room long after the campaign ships.

The shop

We also make a small run of pieces under our own name — the things we wear on set. They are released in dated drops rather than kept in permanent stock, made to order and shipped from the production partner closest to you. It is not the business; it is the agency, wearable.

Who we are

The agency is led by Yordy, who runs the client relationships and the commercial side of every project. Lucas Saldanha leads design, curating and finishing the final photographic product.
